This session introduces inspiring approaches to implementing circular strategies across sectors — with a focus on how materials, business models, and markets can be reshaped for impact.
We’ll hear from leading voices in the circular economy space, covering everything from packaging innovation and sustainable material choices to systems thinking, business model transformation and certifications in the circular economy space. Whether you’re just beginning your circular journey or looking to scale existing efforts, this session offers real-world inspiration and practical insights.
🎙 Speakers:
🔹 Zsófia Koinberg – Zsófia Koinberg is a packaging developer at Martin & Servera, Sweden’s leading wholesaler for restaurants and commercial kitchens. With a strong background in packaging design, project management, material studies and European packaging legislations, she brings a comprehensive perspective to sustainable packaging solutions.
🔹 Marty Rowell – Marty Rowell is a strategic innovation leader and circular economy advocate with a strong track record in product development, including co-founding The Cup Exchange, a tech-driven circular packaging start-up. A Telstra Extreme Award winner, he has led high-impact initiatives across start-ups, corporates, and public enterprises, driving sustainable innovation and engaging stakeholders from B2B clients to C-suite executives.
🔹 Kaisa Karjalainen – Kaisa Karjalainen is the director of Mission Zero Academy and an expert in circular economy and service design. She has an educational background in environmental engineering and currently pursuing a leadership and service design MBA. Kaisa previously worked as a consultant for companies, organisations, and events, helping them establish environmental management systems, sustainability training, life cycle assessments, and waste management plans.
🔹 Cristiana Ribeiro – Cristiana Ribeiro holds a Master’s in Environmental Engineering from the University of Porto and a Postgraduate degree in Integrated Quality, Environment and Safety Systems. She gained experience in waste recovery research at LEPABE and completed an internship in Environment and Safety at E-Redes. Since June 2020, she has worked as a Project Manager at Smart Waste Portugal Association.

🔹 Evelina Lundqvist – CEO, The Good Tribe. Evelina is a sustainability strategist and co-initiator of Global Green Action Day, focused on helping organisations integrate circular thinking into their business models and operations.
